Re: Study Hall.
We shall see ... right now it's quiet and she is reading the text. This is the first time I have been involved with a group of people who have had "experiences" ... and from what I have seen, there is the usual "problem" lurking in the shadows. If there's an experience that pushes reincarnation for example, I don't have a problem if it's real, it's just that it isn't verifiable in history. I went back to working on the Mellas / Caywood book text I made (The Other Sky) and that same picture pops up there ... I wrote:
People believe there are “higher spiritual-type beings,” which is fine, however, one would suppose these “higher beings” would manifest a little more “intelligence” than we see in these experiences, and would all be “working together” instead of generating confusion. For instance, reincarnation is brought up (like in other experience pictures), and if we take the topic of reincarnation, and we seek a history time-line for this belief, we get answers like this:
Q: How old is the idea of reincarnation and where does it come from?
Bharati: In its present form, the way people talk about it today, it is quite old, but it's not as old as people hope it would be. You have only a vestigial or marginal mention of something like transmigration in the older sections of the Veda. There is the first complete mention, though very brief, in the Brihadaranyaka Upanishad, which is quite old. But the real assumptions having to do with reincarnation come in the Puranic age, at the time that the Puranas were composed, and then of course, through Buddhism. So you might say that it reached a state of common acceptance, I would think, around 300 B.C., but not earlier. So it is old, but in its highly articulated form it is not so old — and the way it's talked about now, that's recent; that's "Theosophical Society."

Re: Study Hall.
Well it's going good ... in fact the woman I have been talking with brought out an interesting point. I'm still trying to fit this together, but it seems the Red Serpent document approach was using a Kundalini explanational approach to describe what was going on. There is even a feminine reference in both approaches. I'm looking at this piece by Joseph Campbell right now, but if you google red serpent kundalini there's other stuff out there. It's all a bit confusing, but welcome to the "spiritual" approach vs hard data.

Re: Study Hall.
Well, it went from "good" to "down the drain" ... I think the overseer on this site shut the woman down I was talking with. I give up ... it's all pointless.

Re: Study Hall.
I'm just going by the text I was sent yesterday. This group doesn't really do anything with "experiences" except to let people talk. They don't get involved in saying anything about anything, or interpreting anything, and the next day (today) the person I was talking to suddenly took that position too. We had been communicating via email, and I guess the overseer didn't like that either cuz she couldn't see what we were talking about. I dunno ... I did get one piece of interesting information that I'm going to make a notation on in my notes.

All sounds a bit close to the god squad to me .The overseer put the brakes on it because freewill was taking over ,the truth is stitched up mate unless you get a breakaway researcher yer in treacle .It's just a shame she has been got at .

Re: Study Hall.
I'm just gonna post this ... it's a 12 minute video and we can get into it if you want. The base idea is that the REAL "you" is your brain, and it lives in total darkness. "You" gather all the information you can via the senses, but it's what you DO with this "information" that counts. Do you have ENOUGH information to make the correct assessment?

Deeper when you toss people's "experiences" into the pot. I'm glad I did the EVP sessions I did a few years back for validation ... even more glad that "shoe insole" event happened (along with the black board knocks I got).
There's a problem with people's "experiences" (yeah this is coming from the "discussions" I had - and they have stopped again). People make determinations regarding said "experiences," come to conclusions ... but what if those "conclusions" are wrong? Where do you go from there? Technically, you have to start evaluations all over again - and if you've never used that technique in your approach - there CAN be (and usually is) a major short circuit in your brain - hence the "psychosis" reference.
All I can say thus far is that whoever was behind what I went through, was smart enough from the very beginning in the 1950s to use the constructivist approach ... it's all about "data" - not "mysticism." This "Kundalini" BS is at the top of the scale for "mysticism" and confusion ... and without a constructivist approach - it's over.

This subject has been beaten to death over decades of nothing but BS ... and the "spiritual experience" subject is just as bad. I've adopted a new term for it all - interpretational psychosis. You aren't officially "nuts" - but you sure sound like it.Del. wrote: Everything on the Alien/UFO subject has gone quiet, it seems to have died..
