BTW ... I disabled the text messaging in here because some moron hacked in and keeps sending porn messages as a "guest." We don't use it anyway so it doesn't matter.

Now I got one porno ad via an email send from here - and I shut that down too. I dunno - the mental factor with people is in a state of critical breakdown.

42 would be a little chilly here (I know ... not Fahrenheit) It's supposed to be 107 or 108 (depending on who you believe ) here today too ... so, same basic temp. It's been 100+ for the last week or so ... I hate going outside to smoke a ciggy.

I did too ... back around '88 ... then, well, let's just say there was a "problem" 8 years later, and my choice was to explode or buy a pack and calm down. Guess which way I went.
Anyway, I've been packing my own for years now - better tobacco - and a pack cost me around .85 cents the last time I figured it out. Way better than the 6 bucks they want now.

Allegedly - "The most likely outcome is that 2022 will remain in sixth place, ranking behind 2016, 2020, 2019, 2015 and 2017, and just ahead of 2021."
Then there seems to be the El Niño and La Niña aspect ... and this has something to do with it too. I dunno - outside of my playground.

Re: Study Hall.
I remember summers as hot as hell going back to my boyhood, why all the fuss now, all I heard from Sunday/ Monday was nothing but how hot it was going to be, it was all scaremongering from the media. I was in the fire service 20 years and every summer there were fires due to the hot spells, in 1976 the temp reached 36c degrees. But following those summer temperatures come the winter we had lots of snow. I think we've all gone soft. Grease up the snow plough Bern...

I remember you saying that Del ,yeah 76 was a steamer ,those Spanish firefighters must have found it tough. They certainly earn what little money they get mate .They deserve a work related sliding pay scale in line with the number of shouts and overall time they are out on jobs in my opinion ..some crews seem to get a lot more call outs than others .Maybe they do have that now but they did'nt when my dad was in the service ?

What a coincidence Bern...
Yeah, the pay was crap when I was in mate. The Fire and Rescue Service is now ultra modern, they have 100 foot cherry pickers now, we had to climb ladders.

Those cherry trees sure do grow tall these days mate ! My dad seldom talked about his work but i knew when it had'nt gone well .He was quiet and did'nt eat for a day or two ..You have my admiration Del ,a very difficult occupation at times .Our priorities are all wrong i think these days it's a totally undervalued job .. ..
