Haha, I've not been doing either. I'm not a gardener or a brewer. I'm a thinker.
As in - I think I'll brew some Gingery stuff

You have to work really hard, and you have to be prepared to fail over and over again, and to make mistakes over and over again. But I think that wisdom also applies to the whole community of science, that is we have to experiment with every stupid wrong idea before we get on to the right one.

Ugh ... this is why you should listen to what people say and question everything
I woke up this morning with what I had said about the size of the G2 cloud rattling around in my head ... and a question that went - how do you fit a t tauri star and possible planets in mass 3Xs that of earth?
It's not 3Xs the size of earth, it's MASS is 3Xs that of earth, but it's size is like 3Xs the size of Pluto's orbit around the sun.
My head never shuts up ... but sometimes, that's a good thing.

Yeah - and a much better picture regarding "room"
I'm not a scientist but to me there could be more in there ... I mean, if Pluto is the "basic" picture extent of our solar system, and we have what WE have in it (including the asteroid belt) what else could be in the cloud?

Re: For the wanderers LOL ...
Hi Jim and Dreamcatcher, thanks for the thumbs up!
I like it here Jim, its got a tasteful interior design.
I dont want to do a slanging match re ovni but just wondered if we are staying here full time?
As you all must have noted by now Garry had deleted his thread where he said he was thinking of closing the site. This means that he has deleted all member replies as well.
I'm still getting over the flu and it was the first time in days that I went in ovni last night.
But...had I gone in later in the evening I'd not have seen Garrys thread and I wouldnt have known a thing about it!
Anyway, heres to many hours of eating owl sandwhiches!

There's a lengthy history to this place, there was an original forum, then this, then it died. When the original UK forum was bombed, a few of us took refuge in a Yahoo group I created, then we decided to come here. I stripped it of posts and we hung out for awhile. We all went back to Garry's place, everything stopped here, I cleaned it out and that was that. Then the SHTF over there, and here we are again.

Yep - looks like this is going to be it again

I think after what went on, it isn't going to recover.
Anyway, heres to many hours of eating owl sandwhiches!

I turned the threads setting to a new order and it seems it changed the posts too - the newest are now first ... if this is a problem let me know and I'll put it back.

I have no "behind the scenes" experience on these boards; I can figure it out but the language used in "admin-land" is not saying much at all.

Re: For the wanderers LOL ...
Dreamcatcher, none of it is your fault lovely girl. You didnt do anything wrong. Anything you disagreed with on ovni re a topic you always handled in a polite and fair way.If we are not allowed to disagree then its not a site for enquiring minds.
But you know...i dont think thats what the real problem is. There has been discord behind the scenes and your name has been used as a scapegoat just like mine was during the ukufo fiasco.
I was blamed for absolutely everything (including Dinos outburst) when all I was trying to do was save the site from going down the pan. The fall-out, backstabbing and revelations as to who was who and who had done what was quite amazing after the event.
Dont lose sleep over it because its truly not worth it. I wont be returning to ovni because obviously things there are not stable.
Its good to share stuff with you and Jim, Del and GoodBoy (and others that might come and say 'Hi') and I hope we stay together as friends in whatever little piece of cyberspace we eventually occupy.

We have a problem .. "someone" is screwing around with the auto-prune. Where we never posted, the settings were "no" ... only it seems where we WERE posting. I'm gonna have to keep checking these settings?
