As far as "happy" new year goes, let's see what Trump does

As far as the symbol goes, I've seen this and I don't buy the modern approach at all. It's typical of the mind-wandering approaches people do, and have done all along.

As far as the ancient approach goes - doctrinally, there's no connection. There's more of a connection to "the eye" idea in Dr LaViolette's superwave work.

Several hundred years after the first appearance of the Blue Star, earth
observers would have become aware of lighting effects resulting from the
Superwave's passage through the galaxy's central bulge. Synchrotron
radiation emitted by the Superwave's cosmic rays would have illuminated
the dense gas clouds in the Galaxy's nucleus to create an oval luminous

I always liked this art picture - it's the exact idea  



This might connect to Ra's destruction of mankind story:

The eye in a triangle connection is wrong. That's just another Orion nebula connection.








As far as the symbol itself, it's possible the ancients cut a brain in half and used the symbolic reference for their own purposes. Then to, it could be coincidental pareidolia - there's no way to say for sure.
